Issue Of Certificate Of Good Conduct To Omani Citizen
The Directorate General of Criminal Inquiries & Investigations
issues certificates of good conduct to Omani citizens for the
following purposes:
Establishing of a private training institute
Directing the sale of periodic newspapers and pamphlets
Opening a library for the sale of books
Opening engineering consultancy offices
Opening a private school
Establishing a typing office
Opening a legal consultancy office
Opening a studio for photography
Establishing a printing press
Opening an advertising agency
Opening an office for recruitment of foreign labour
Opening a travel and tourism agency
Practicing journalism
Candidature for Majlis A’shura
Opening a shop for document printing and photocopying
Candidature for membership in Oman Chamber of Commerce and
Industry
Requirements For The Issue Of A Certificate Of Good Conduct:
A letter from the applicant
Copy of the passport or Identity Card
Two photographs
A filled application form
Payment of the specified fees of RO 3.000
Issue Of Non – Conviction Certificate
This certificate is issued to Omani citizens and resident
foreign nationals presently or previously residing in the
Sultanate for the following purposes:
Practicing commercial business outside the Sultanate
Obtaining entry visas for certain countries
Immigration to other countries
Working as tourist guide
Joining the University
Other purposes
Requirements For Issuance of the Non-Conviction Certificate
For Omanis:
Filled-in application form
Copy of the passport or the identity card
Two photographs (4 x 4)
Payment of fees of RO 3.000
For Resident Expatriate:
Submit the application to the Directorate General of
Inquires and Criminal Investigations or any of its branches
at the ROP regional commands.
Letter from the sponsor
Filled-in application form
Copy of the passport
Two photographs (4 x 4)
Fingerprints
Payment of fees of RO 3.000
For Foreigners Staying Outside the Sultanate:
A letter from the applicant, indicating their name and mail
address.
Two photographs (4 x 4)
Copy of the passport including the pages containing the previous residence
stamp during the applicant’s residence in Oman .
Original fingerprints, if available.
Deposit the fees of US $ 12.00 or equivalent thereof in the
Directorate General of Inquires and Criminal Investigations'
account no. 3106-453888-500, Oman Arab Bank, Qurum Branch.
Submit by express mail confirmation of the depositing together
with the application to the Director of Criminal Evidence,
Directorate General of Inquires and Criminal Investigations,
Royal Oman Police, P.O BOX , 446 Muscat ,113 Sultanate of
Oman.
Issuance of Licenses
Fire Arms Licenses
Submitting an application to the heads of directorates and
sections of criminal inquiries and investigations at the
police command headquarters at the Governorates and
geographical regions. The licensing form should be attached to
the application letter
Copy of the Identity card
Four photographs of the applicant
A medical certificate issued by a government physician
confirming that the applicant is free from any mental or
psychiatric illness
Payment of the specified licencing fees.
Color Photocopying License
Submitting an application to the heads of directorates and
sections of criminal inquiries and investigations at the
police command headquarters at the Governorates and
geographical regions. The licensing form should be attached to
the application letter
Copy of the Identity card
Three photographs of the applicant
Copy of the Commercial Register
Payment of the specified licencing fee.
Key Copying Shop License
Submitting an application to the heads of directorates and
sections of criminal inquiries and investigations at the
police command headquarters at the Governorates and
geographical regions. The licensing form should be attached to
the application letter
A copy of the Identity card of the applicant
Three photographs of the applicant
Copy of the Commercial Register
Assisting in the treatment of drug addicts
Drug addicted people are treated in Ibn Seena Hospital and
also by coordination and cooperation with some hospitals and
specialized centers in GCC countries by applying a request to
the Narcotics Control Directorate in Directorate General Of
Criminal Inquiries and Investigations.
